Memories

Marci Linker: Early on in the pandemic, he used to call me as a volunteer for Northampton neighbors, as they were checking in on everybody. He was surprised that I knew who he was!

Libby Spencer: I met Charlie DeRose at a hot air balloon rally in Cummington Farms. He was a jolly guy and the first pilot to let me work his balloon thus cementing my love for the sport and eventual years long stint on the balloon rally circuit.

Deborah Schafer: I was a part-timer at The Gazette in 1978-80, remember him well.
