RESIDENT RELOCATION SUMMER 2016

Way Finders relocated all of the former residents in advance of the demolition. Transition Specialist Trish Smith worked one-on-one with each person to find him or her a new home. Many stayed in Northampton while others moved to Florence, Amherst, and Greenfield. For some, this was the first time in years that they were able to live in an apartment with a private kitchen and bath.

In 2018, a new building, called Live 155, was built on the property. While not a single room occupancy building, Live 155 offers 70 studio and one-bedroom apartments at affordable fixed market prices. According to the owners, when Live 155 opened, former tenants were given first priority if they chose to return.
