“We’re the oldest continuously operating business in the city now. The shop started on Maple Street around 1908. My father moved the business to the site of the Pizza Factory in 1952; we moved to this location in 1977. My father started in the business in 1920 when he was twelve. My grandfather took him out of school and brought him into the shop. He said, ‘Bill, you’re coming to work today.’”
F.J. Rogers Co. closed in 2016 after 108 years of business.
