John Edwards: He was a real estate researcher every day he was at the registry of deeds noting all of the days activity and keeping very accurate records, which created reporting information mostly to banks and financial institutions, it was a real niche market. I always enjoyed his company.

Christine Craig: This series is so poignant and beautiful but this picture (obviously) is so striking to me.
Jim (or Jevens as we called him) was whip-smart, insightful, well-read, hilarious, brutally honest, kind, generous, and such an integral part of my daily work life for so many years. His deep friendships with all the counter regulars, especially Bruce, were natural and filled with respect and real love. His passing was a huge loss.
