Barbara E. Smith: When Izzy wanted to finance his comic business we were in a community loan group together that met regularly for many months. Sometime in the 1990s.

Mike Chrisman: I took over the Valley Comic News from Izzy. I spent many enjoyable nights at his (and Carol’s) place on Water St. in Leeds. BTW, all but one of the 150-plus issues of the VCN are available at Forbes Library.

Jenny Schreiner: Izzy was a warm and funny person. I always enjoyed our conversations.
