To mark International Dark Sky Week, Northampton City Lights presents its fourth annual Night Fest. This year’s celebration of the night includes Mayor Gina-Louise Sciarra reading the city’s International Dark Sky Week Proclamation followed by an exploration of the world of local moths by Smith College’s Dr. Mariana Abarca.

There will also be opportunities to check out an array of citizen science projects and to view the night sky through telescopes, weather permitting. Northampton City Lights’ mission is to protect human health and wildlife, bring back the stars and the Milky Way, and improve safety and quality of life for all by fighting light pollution in Northampton, MA.

Free, family-friendly, and open to the public.
