#Thank You Heroes’, in honor of the essential workers, people of color and single mother nurses who sacrificed their own lives to save people in our communities during the Covid 19 outbreak in April. – Dara Herman Zierlein
“There Is a Light That Never Goes Out” by The Smiths is one of my all time favorite songs. I incorporated the lyrics, which have always felt comforting, yet at the same time haunting and nostalgic, into a collage. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the lyrics take a different meaning. Listening to this song now reminds me of the times we used to have, before quarantine. Someday I’ll hear “There Is a Light That Never Goes Out” while going out where there’s music and there’s people (who are young and alive), but for now, I’ll just dream about it. Katie L., 17.
