“My grandparents, Fred and Isabelle Dumas, started this business in 1946 in Easthampton. They moved to the present location on Main Street in 1964. We still don’t have a computer. The only things we have changed about this store are the front awning and re-upholstering the chairs. We are proud of that. My grandfather and my father taught me the tools of the trade. That’s 125 years of experience combined.”

After 77 years of business and 60 years of the Main Street location, Ted’s Boot Shop closed at the end of May 2023 when the owners retired.
