Jose Serrazina bought the business circa 1983 and and immediately moved it to 271 Pleasant Street, then moved to 113 Hawley Street in 2004.

Shu-Fix was started by Joseph N. Grise in 1903. He taught his son, Elphege, all that his father had taught him. Elphege Grise sold the shop to Walter Murch in 1974. Murch learned the trade from Joseph Grise. (source: Daily Hampshire Gazette, January 18, 1977)

Shu-Fix remains in business at the same 113 Hawley Street location today.
